Formula and Example
Formula:
📐 Drop Loss (dB) = (Loss per 100 ft) × (Cable Length in ft / 100)
Example:
A 75-foot run at 750 MHz:
Drop Loss = 5.5 × (75 / 100) = 4.125 dB
Use this formula to evaluate whether an installation will exceed the acceptable drop loss range (typically <8 dB total for standard installations).
